This is a searchable database of all Coal and Metal/Non-Metal mines under the jurisdiction of The U.S. Department of Labor's Mine Safety and Health Administration. It includes information about the status of each mine (Active, Abandoned, NonProducing, etc.), the current owner and operating company, commodity codes and physical attributes of the mine.
The data is sourced from various datasets under the Open Government Licence.
